NOAA buoy and shipboard logs for the 2025 Atlantic sonar anomalies

The records sought

Observation logs, maintenance records and anomaly reports for National Data Buoy Center stations 41047 and 41048 between 1 June and 30 September 2025.

Why it matters

Three research vessels logged an acoustic anomaly in the same week. The buoy record is public data with a gap in it, and the maintenance log will say whether the gap is a fault or a redaction.

How it will be filed

The default for most federal components and a great many state bodies. Sent from a per-request alias so every reply routes itself, with delivery and fetch events recorded.

Federal Aviation Administration answers in a median of 44 days against a statutory 20 business days, and releases something 79% of the time — full scorecard.
